Wholesome Recipes
About

Cooking is a quiet kind of love.

Verdant Table is a small, slow recipe journal for people who believe dinner deserves attention — and that healthy food can be the most delicious food you eat all week.

Our philosophy

We started Verdant Table because the recipes we wanted to cook — wholesome, beautiful, and genuinely tested — were scattered across old cookbooks and torn-out magazine pages. We wanted one quiet place to keep them.

Every recipe here is original, written by us, and cooked at least three times before it's published. We favour vegetables, whole grains, and good olive oil. We don't moralise about food, but we do believe that eating well is a form of self-respect.

What you'll find here

Plant-forward recipes — vegetables lead, but we don't insist on labels. Some recipes have eggs, dairy, or seafood; most don't. All of them are built to be cooked on a regular weeknight.

Seasonal thinking — we publish in rhythm with what's actually growing. Tomatoes in summer, brassicas in winter, herbs year-round.

Honest writing — no twenty-paragraph life stories before the ingredient list. Just the recipe, a few thoughts on why it works, and one tip from our kitchen.
